NextStep Recruiting is seeking an Accountant for their financial client in Uptown. They offer a 3/2 hybrid work week after the initial 3-month ramp-up period. They are looking for an intelligent, self-motivated individual who has passed the CPA exam or intends to do so.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing a high volume of vendor payments via automated systems, gaining proper approvals, reviewing payments against valid source documents, and ensuring the proper accounting entries are booked to the GL
  • Oversee the software system used for vendor payments
  • Responsible for the day-to-day treasury activities of multiple entities which includes managing liquidity, overseeing investments of excess cash, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Required Job Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience with a Big 4 or Public Accounting Company
