Job Summary

At Jackson Walker, we are seeking a highly skilled A/R Analyst - Portfolio Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Accounting department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Attorney's Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding invoices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of Attorney's Accounts Receivable, tracking the status of receivables via our accounting system collection program.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with Attorneys and Clients regarding past due outstanding invoices, negotiating repayment terms and monitoring repayment activity.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Process Accounts Receivable write offs, generate and mail Reminder Statements to Clients with delinquent amounts owed.
  • Collection Committee Participation: Attend the monthly Billing and Collection Committee Meetings, providing requested collection information and reports to Attorneys or Clients.
  • Payment Application and Research: Involved in the daily payment application process, posting checks and electronic payments utilizing an automated payment application, researching duplicate payments, overpayments, and short payments.
Requirements
  • Experience: Five (5) years of Accounts Receivable/Payment Application experience in a professional services environment.
  • Skills: Ability to work under time constraints, alone or in a team environment, organize and prioritize numerous tasks, and communicate effectively with Clients, Attorneys, and staff members.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, legal accounting software (preferably Aderant), and document management systems.
Working Conditions

This is a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise and temperature.
