Scampys Country Store & Deli is a small family-owned country store located in West Charleston Vermont. We are seeking an experienced Store Manager who is looking for an opportunity to grow.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cash Controls: All company procedures are followed.

·         Responsible for day-to-day store operations.

·         Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff.

·         Proper inventory control: Maintain inventory at 100% level of confidence.

·         Ensure product mix and inventory levels are appropriate and accurate.

·         Ensure store is kept clean, attractively displayed, and safe.

·         Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.

·         Demonstrate leadership by modeling appropriate customer-oriented behavior.

  • Supervise counter sales and customer services by ensuring all customers are promptly greeted, all phones are answered in a timely manner, all refunds are handled correctly, etc.
  • Be responsible for essential store functions, i.e. store accounting, daily invoice checking, inventory control, store security, store maintenance, etc.
  • Labor controls: Store is within Labor budget.

Qualifications:

  • Retail or Convenience Store Management experience
  • Take pride in delivering excellent customer service
  • Available to work flexible work schedule
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems a plus
  • Solid skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A desire to build, lead, inspire, and grow a team of outstanding individuals.
  • High school diploma or GED required. College degree a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent customer service skills
