Position Overview:

Are you an experienced property manager with a proven track record in leading and developing teams? Do you excel at coaching others to achieve their best and enjoy taking on special projects? As the Assistant Regional Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing our property portfolio across multiple locations in Central and Southeastern Virginia, based out of Richmond. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Multifamily Housing and the Regional Manager to ensure our properties are managed efficiently, tenants are satisfied, and our business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Regional Operations: Oversee daily operations across multiple properties, ensuring consistent service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop Community Managers, providing mentorship, training, and support to help them excel in their roles. Your experience in property management and team supervision will be crucial to the success of our communities.
  • Coverage and Support: Step in to provide coverage for Community Managers during their time off, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high service standards.
  • Training and Staff Development: Lead efforts to train and strengthen our team, leveraging your experience in property management and passion for helping others succeed.
  • Travel: Regularly visit the properties and teams under your management to stay actively involved in daily operations and team development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of property management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role where you managed and developed multiple staff members. Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties is a strong plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in property management software is a plus.
  • Certifications: CPM, ARM, or similar property management certifications are highly desirable.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel weekly to various locations within the Richmond/Petersburg area and east to the Peninsula and Tidewater regions.
