D.R. Horton, Inc. is a Fortune 500 homebuilder seeking a highly skilled Region Paralegal to support the Region Counsel in managing the responsibilities of the Legal Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regional litigation and be able to manage the litigation calendar and case files. Additionally, they will review marketing programs and materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Region Counsel in managing regional litigation
  • Preparing and maintaining a database of Region litigation matters
  • Managing the litigation calendar and litigation case files
  • Reviewing marketing programs and materials for compliance with laws and regulations
  • Preparing and maintaining contractor's licenses and real estate licenses for division offices
  • Preparing and maintaining lease databases for regional and division offices
  • Conducting business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the company's goodwill and profit
  • Ability to work overtime and travel overnight
  • Assisting the Region Counsel with special projects, responding to discovery requests, and addressing homeowner and warranty requests

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or six or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear

Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
