Position Overview


Our Facility Safety Coordinators are responsible for onsite safety and health administration including developing specific on-site programs, performing site audits, leading accident investigations, training personnel, managing workers’ compensation claims, and administering first aid when necessary.

What You Will Do:
• Performs site audits for unsafe practices, conditions
• Works closely with the Key Account Manager and Reports WC claims and performs onsite WC administration as needed.
• Administers First Aid, CPR, AED where necessary.
• Performs other duties and services to ensure a successful project is delivered and client is satisfied.
• Ensure that all personnel perform their jobs in a safe manner in line with company policies and regulations including the use of PPE.
• Audit the safe performance of all equipment within the facility.
• Responsible for LOTO (Lock Out/ Tag Out) process where applicable.
• Online maintenance and tracking of all facility safety initiatives and training records.
• Manage daily tasks effectively and communicate to leadership via shift reports.
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Availability to be on-call as needed for safety related issues.

• What You Will Bring:
• Ability to deal with a variety of people from craft workers to facility leads/supervision.
• Must be bi-lingual or have means to translate between English and Spanish.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office, Email, PDF, and strong organizational and planning skills.
• Demonstrated training and communication (verbal and written) skills are crucial to success in this role, equally in classroom and on-site settings.
• High knowledge of current safety and loss control practices.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Training
• Must have a valid Driver’s License, admit to a background check.
• Minimum of three years of experience in construction safety or equivalent combinations of CSP, OHST, CHST, etc.
• Minimum of one year of experience in building construction safety.
• At a minimum, OSHA30 issued within the last four years.
• Physically able to lift at least 60 lbs and climb ladders and stairs.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Current emergency first aid, CPR, and AED training within two years
• Working knowledge, experience, and documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, electrical, and incident investigation
