Senior Construction Estimator - Commercial Drywall and Metal Frame Construction - Base Salary to 130k/year - North Kansas City, MO

  • Our client specializes in Commercial Drywall and Metal Framing for projects ranging from exterior and interior metal stud framing, drywall systems, casework/millwork fabrication and install. They are currently seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to join their team who has a background in commercial drywall and who can work with GC’s to help continue growing the company in the Kansas City market. Their team members are encouraged to be creative and present their ideas to the team where they empower everyone to use their talents to help make them the best in the industry.
  • The Senior Construction Estimator will have commercial construction industry experience, the ability to read blueprints, and produce competitive estimates. Candidates will need to be proficient in navigating OST QuickBid or EDGE 2024 Estimating software.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of Senior and Junior Estimators
  • Familiarity with drywall assemblies, acoustical ceiling systems, spray foam insulation, and EIFS
  • Proficient in obtaining current pricing information for bids
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with metal framing, drywall finishing, and carpentry
  • Preparation of precise hard bid estimates for projects
  • Accurate documentation and management of take-offs for self and team review
  • Strong communication skills, adept at detailing scopes and assemblies accurately
  • Proactive in building and maintaining client relationships with a focus on business development
  • Efficient in performing budget estimating exercises

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with commercial drywall
  • Proficient in reading shop drawings, architectural/structural drawings, and contract specifications
  • Experience in estimating prevailing wage projects
  • Proficient using OST QuickBid or EDGE 2024 Estimating software

Compensation:

  • Base salary to 130k/year, with bonus potential
