Human Resource (HR)/Executive Assistant
Job Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for assuring proper documentation of personnel files are intact. Assures proper management and security of the client records.
Organizational Relationship: Reports directly to the Administrator.
Risk of Occupational Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens: C: No Exposure.
Qualifications:
· Minimum: Associate degree in business management or HR
· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
· Medical experience is a PLUS
· Three years HR experience preferably in home services agency or another health-related field.
· Moderate competency with computers and typing; EXCEL spreadsheet competence.
· Ability to multi-task with minimal stress
· Is a self-starter able to be self-directed
· Propensity for working with and helping and managing people
· Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Responsibilities:
1. Assists in the hiring process, recruiting, interviewing, personnel file management.
2. Prepares new hiring documents as necessary.
3. Submits written requests for offsite HR functions as determined to be within working capital allocated for such activities.
4. Communicates with the outsourced company (if in place) for in-services as needed. Determines the next year’s in-service calendar 6 months in advance allowing for development time.
5. Responsible for the initial management of employee grievances unresolved.
6. Assists the Administrator in preparing audit/surveys as requested.
7. Responsible for assurance that the HR department is “survey ready” at all times.
8. Re-enforces HIPPA compliance with field staff and office personnel.
9. Encourages participation in QA committee program.
10. Actively encourages employee recognition program.
11. Participates in the QA Committee process as requested.
12. Notifies the Agency of emergencies, sickness, and other imminent occurrences that may affect the client caseload as quickly as possible relative to the event’s occurrence.
13. Submits written time requests 2 weeks or more in advance of planned time off.
Functional Abilities:
Must be able to read 12-point or larger type.
Must be able to hear, speak, and effectively communicate in English.
