The Director of Human Resources (HR) will lead the HR function, driving the development and implementation of HR strategies that support Rock Dental Brands goals and growth. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance organizational culture, employee engagement, and retention.

  • Lead change management efforts to support Rock’s initiatives and ensure smooth transitions.

  • Lead or participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes, systems, and practices.

Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive work environment and manage employee relations issues.

  • Implement policies and programs that promote workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Conduct investigations, address and resolve employee conflicts, performance management and grievances in a timely and effective manner.

  • Provide guidance on HR-related legal matters and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee the management of self-funded health plans, ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance.

  • Analyze and monitor health plan performance and costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved care.

  • Educate and promote employees about self-funded plan benefits 

  • Ensure competitive and fair compensation practices in line with industry standards.

Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Lead HR due diligence processes during M&A activities.

  • Develop and execute integration plans to align policies, procedures and practices.

  • Manage communication and change management initiatives to facilitate a smooth transition.

  • Collaborate with all shared services to ensure a seamless integration.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure HR processes are compliant and efficient.

  • Ensure mandatory compliance related training is completed by each employee

Training and Development:

  • Identify HR training needs and implement effective training programs.

  • Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.

  • Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Prepare and present reports on HR activities and outcomes to the executive team.

  • Utilize HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Organizational Development:

  • Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.

  • Implement programs that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee productivity.

  • Collaborate with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; 

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven experience in a multi-site organization, preferably in the healthcare or dental industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Proficiency with Workday HRIS and other HR management software.
