Summary:

This role is a key member of our dynamic Sales team as a National Sales Representative specializing in natural gas polyethylene pipe. You'll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and market presence of Pipeline Plastics’ products across the United States and Canada. Your primary responsibilities will include cultivating and fostering relationships with utilities and integrated suppliers within the natural gas industry. Collaborating closely with both clients and our internal team, you'll be instrumental in identifying opportunities, providing expert guidance, and delivering tailored solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong connections, and is ready to hit the road to make a significant impact.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • The key responsibility will be the development and implementation of a team-driven, strategic business plan. This plan will be based on a strong understanding of industry trends and customer needs, ensuring our continued success in the market.
  • As part of the role, this position will be expected to manage key customer relationships. This involves aligning actions with Pipeline Plastics' core values and strategic vision and ensuring our customers feel valued and supported.
  • Securing new business opportunities and maintaining current account relationships, maintaining current sales, negotiating new contracts, or negotiating renewals of existing contracts.
  • Successfully close new business opportunities by coordinating requirements, skillfully developing proposals, and conducting negotiations that align with contractual requirements, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome for all parties involved.
  • Conduct thorough qualification processes to identify key decision-makers and understand their unique needs. This will enable you to provide tailored solutions and forge strong relationships based on mutual success.
  • Develop and utilize internal and external resources, showcasing Pipeline Plastic’s reputation for service excellence.
  • Effectively market Pipeline Plastic's exceptional product range to prospective clients by conducting scheduled strategic customer visits, collaborative calls, and active engagement in industry events, leveraging comprehensive understanding of our products' regulatory compliance.
  • Play a crucial role in assisting customers with troubleshooting and identifying optimization opportunities to enhance their experience and maximize their benefits during the development, follow-up, and closing of sales opportunities.
  • Effectively manage tight deadlines and handle any emergencies that may arise outside of business hours, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop customer accounts by proactively collecting and studying information (prospecting).
  • This position will partner with the VP of Quality to develop targets for new approvals and follow up, as required, throughout the process.
