Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other teams to support business development objectives.
  • Assist in creating Business Development & Strategic Plans in collaboration with Business Director
  • Support the management of key metrics including revenue initiatives, profit margins, operating expenses, delivery timelines, quality, and inventory.
  • Assist in screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Provide competitive market feedback to leadership and contribute to product development ideas.
  • Support contract opportunity captures by participating in strategy development, customer interactions, and pricing strategies.
  • Assist in managing project scope changes, crisis management, and contingency planning.
  • Aid in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and act as a liaison for customers.
  • Support the execution of strategies for capturing business opportunities.
  • Help in the evaluation of Government and Commercial Contracting acquisitions.
  • Maintain and update various project and plan tracks simultaneously.
  • Acquire understanding of Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security regulations, including FAR and DFAR.

 

Experience Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant or similar role.
  • Some experience in roles involving government contracts, particularly in the Federal sector.
  • Familiarity with Federal contracting processes, especially for minority-owned and financially disadvantaged entities such as 8(a) businesses.
  • Basic knowledge of DoD, DHS, and other federal agency standards/protocols relevant to business development, operations, logistics, and resource utilization.
  • Understanding of government contract regulations including SBA, FAR, DBA, and SCA.
  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Ability to meet project metrics and understand risk management principles.
  • Capable of presenting information and facilitating group discussions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, with Top Secret Clearance preferred.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Technical writing experience is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus but not required.
  • Some experience in proposal development, particularly technical and management proposals, is beneficial.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
