Job description
• Communicate with Insureds, Veterinarians, Brokers, Agents and other associated parties to set up claims and determine coverage and applicable policy limits.
• Obtain supporting documentation for assigned claims and conduct investigation.
• Prepare reports detailing diagnosis, treatment recommendations, status of animal and payment recommendations.
• Maintain a diary system, monitor claims and report accordingly throughout the life of each claim.
• Maintain accountabilities for all assigned claims.
The qualified candidate should possess:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Analytical skills
• Flexibility, organizational skills, meticulous with details, thorough, organized and able to prioritize.
• Work independently but takes instruction from Management.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and high level of performance in stressful situations.
• Have, at minimum, a basic understanding of equine veterinary medicine and the equine industry.
• Reliable transportation.
• At least two years of professional work experience.
• Candidates that possess Property and Casualty Adjuster licensing, have Veterinary Technician or Assistant certification or insurance experience will have preference.
