Job Overview:

AnchorBuilt Inc. is seeking experienced Project Managers for our HVAC and Plumbing department. The Project Managers will oversee and coordinate HVAC and plumbing projects from start to finish. The project manager will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with all specifications and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, estimates, leading a team, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely project bids and proposals including detailed breakdowns of labor, materials, and other project costs
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
  • Coordinate HVAC and plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets by properly delegating project responsibilities to assigned staff
  • Read blueprints and interpret schematics to understand and plan project specifications
  • Assist with applicable permit inspections
  • Responsible for scheduling, logistics and procurement of equipment and materials
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other subcontractors to ensure project requirements are understood and met
  • Manage and provide technical expertise, guidance, training and support to HVAC/plumbing technicians and other team members
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project goals are met
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, work quality, and address any risks or challenges
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of materials used, labor hours, and equipment utilized
  • Communicate and cooperate efficiently with office team and peers
  • Other duties as necessary to successfully meet project deadlines to achieve customer satisfaction

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering, architectural, and construction plans, drawings and specifications, and knowledge of building and mechanical codes
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Office, web-based applications, estimating software and have the ability to learn new software products as needed
  • Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities as well as adapt to change with or without notice
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team and individuals
  • Highly organized, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, time sensitive environment with the ability to set and achieve goals
  • Customer service oriented
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
  • Ability to effectively lead a team with integrity to achieve project excellence

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the HVAC/plumbing industry, preferably as a Project Manager or Estimator required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Must have the ability to excel in personnel management and operations, preferably at least 1 year of experience in a management or lead role
  • Experience in project scheduling, coordination, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is desired
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR record, and sign a non-compete agreement.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Valid HVAC/plumbing journeyman license (desired)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (desired)

Travel Required:

Frequent travel to project sites and meetings with clients and teams

Travel within the state of New Mexico when required
