Wide Effect has partnered with a Marine Design & Service company with an immediate need for Field Service Technicians. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, as well as electrical abilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical/hydraulic service of lifting and boarding equipment aboard yachts: Cranes, Passerelles, Gangways, Shell doors, Hydralift systems, and more.
  • Assist Senior Technician in carrying out lifting/rigging plans to remove and install yacht equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics; must be able to understand and service hydraulic and electrical components.
  • Maintain documentation for labor hour records, work order processing, and service reporting.
  • Ability to use all mechanics tools and operate equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and respectful work area in the shop and onboard customer property.
  • Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
  • Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as directed by the Senior Service Technician.
  • Install hydraulic tubing, hoses, pumps, and motors, including system testing.
  • Install electrical control and junction boxes, wiring as well as terminate connections.

Experience:

  • Hydraulics: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Electrical and Strong Electrical Aptitude: 3 years (Preferred)
