HVAC Field Service Technician

REPORTS TO: Field Service Supervisor

HOURS: Full-time

Position Overview:

The HVAC Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position involves responding to service requests and traveling to various job sites using a company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage service calls through electronic systems and travel to assigned locations.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is stocked with necessary parts and tools.
  • Collaborate with dealers and homeowners to find effective solutions.
  • Maintain vehicle in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Participate in industry conventions and training sessions to represent the service department.
  • Provide service support across different regions as required.
  • Report any urgent quality issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Engage in scheduled technical and leadership training sessions.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A positive, adaptable, and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities and proficiency in using meters and gauges.
  • Familiarity with recovery machines and vacuum pumps.
  • In-depth understanding of superheat and sub-cooling principles.
  • Skilled in brazing and soldering with various materials.
  • An associate degree or equivalent from an HVAC technical institution, along with a minimum of three years of relevant field experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • HVAC Certification is required.
  • CPO Certification will be provided post-hire.
  • Refrigerant Handling Certification is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to kneel and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must withstand hot and humid conditions regularly.
  • Maintain physical strength to handle service supplies and materials effectively.
  • Must be able to enter and exit a cargo van frequently.
