Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA successful Account Manager will prospect for health insurance and employee benefits primarily for dental offices in Kentucky and Indiana.  The employee will service and grow an existing book of business by leveraging relationships as well as cross-selling to existing Bowman Insurance clients. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and self-motivated. The position will handle daily contact with existing and prospective clients. The responsibilities of this role include
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients
  • Prospect for new clients
  • Oversee new business and renewals, including group meetings, enrollment, submission, and delivery of administrative materials.
  • Stay up to date on the Health Marketplace to create and update marketing content for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain relationships with carrier representatives, staying current on new products, carrier procedural changes and market trends. Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep current on new products available to clients, as opportunities occur.
  • Ensure clients are up-to-date on compliance requirements (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, SPDs, Form 5500s) through meetings, webinars, legislative updates, and other resources.
  • Liaise between clients and carrier representatives on escalated service issues and problem solving, assuring clients their concerns remain active until verifiably complete.
  • Attend marketing events such as component society meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Learn additional lines of business for client service
  • Other sales and administrative duties as required
 Employment Starts:
  • As early as February 2024
 Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and related training
  • 5 years of Health Insurance sales experience
  • Life and Health Insurance License (KY & IN)
  • Proficiency using an Agency Management System such as AMS360 to log activities to document client meetings, carrier follow-up, service issues and establish follow-up dates.
  • Robust Affordable Care Act knowledge or consulting experience preferred
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate complex rules to clients and employees to achieve and facilitate decision making
  • High degree of professionalism; must be a self-starter, motivated, and driven to succeed
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and have the ability to travel for client meetings and events.
