Summary:
The Benefits Generalist performs administrative and complex clerical work in the Corporate Benefit Department.

Qualifications:Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College level courses in accounting, business or human resources preferred.

Licenses/Certification: Experience:
  • Two years of experience benefits or human resources.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain detailed employee benefit records and reports.
  • Assist with monthly Enrollments and maintain new benefit packages.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment.
  • Create changes in Employee Benefits mode of payroll system.
  • Communicate with carriers and employees receiving benefits.
  • Process forms and records and check for accuracy.
  • Review and prepare or submit approved benefit applications.
  • Perform research on statistical data.
  • Review benefit billing statements for accuracy.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of UKG payroll preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees when necessary.
  • Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to be accurate, concise, organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
