Jules and Associates, one of the top independent leasing companies, is looking to hire a motivated Credit Analyst to review credit opportunities and successfully place them with our debt sources. They would be responsible for completing a cash flow analysis, reviewing financial statements, identifying trends, and seeking bank partners to approve financing. This position requires a high level of internal and external communication with our bank partners. This full-time and in-person position requires the Credit Analyst to be in the office Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Credit Analyst will report to the Vice President of Jules and Associates.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and review all relevant financial statements for prospective clients, including spreading financial statements (cash flow analysis), analyzing historical performance, accurately calculating credit metrics, identifying risks, trends, changes, anomalies, mitigants, assessing creditworthiness, etc.
  • Prepare a detailed list of credit review questions to discuss with customers during credit call(s).
  • Prepare a thorough credit underwriting document/memo identifying credit risks and mitigants, industry concerns, market share trends, financial trends, and other pertinent credit issues, as well as detailing the nature of the transaction (brief synopsis on the company; structure of transaction; purpose/justification) for circulation to syndication partner(s), etc.
  • Submit transaction(s) to the appropriate syndication partner(s), ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the submission. You are the liaison between our company and our bank partners. Your success relies on your ability to successfully place debt with our bank partners.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and promptly address concerns (i.e., customer engagement).
  • Act as a liaison between the sales and credit departments, providing pricing and credit reviews for proposed transactions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and provide tailored credit solutions.
  • Assist sales Managers and Account Executives in structuring transactions, as applicable. Provide guidance and feedback to sales and relationship managers throughout the credit placement/due diligence process.
  • Work closely with our various syndication partners and promptly address all requests/concerns when applicable.
  • Sell loan/lease financing packages to debt sources, effectively negotiating transactions even when they deviate from the original proposal.
  • Complete credit extensions and support the documentation department until final funding is available.
  • Ensure all credit documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies.
  • Learn and adhere to the guidelines of our various syndication partners to accurately pair submissions and increase the probability of obtaining favorable results.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in accounting/finance, is preferred.
  • Outstanding business development skills with a strong emphasis on negotiation and problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively, competently, and persuasively with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit evaluation techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • A minimum of two years of commercial credit process experience in the banking or financial industry is preferred, though not strictly required.
  • Experience in equipment finance or leasing is highly desirable.
  • Must be highly motivated, and initiative-taker that is supportive of company initiatives.
