For over 130 years the Historic Hotel Colorado has provided exemplary service to Presidents, Celebrities, Athletes, and people from all over the world At his time, we are taking resumes for the position of Director of Sales at Hotel Colorado.

Do you have the ability to drive the sales process from start to finish. We are looking for that rare individual who can actively build and maintain long lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.

As the Hotel Colorado Director of Sales, this is not a sit behind your desk kind of job. As the only full-service hotel in Glenwood Springs; offering breakfast, lunch & dinner service, bar service, on-site Catering w/ AV services and the ability to host groups from 5 to 300. you will be expected to

  • Develop & execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
  • Understand the industry-specific trends and landscapes.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals
  • Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Understand how to position products against competitor

The Director of Sales, you'll experience an up-beat, fast-paced environment where you'll be expected to show strong leadership and flexibility in order to guide your team to success. You will have a proven sales team in place. Looking for someone with previous DoS experience. You will be responsible for finding and servicing group business on the Western Slope as well as securing individual travel through LNR. In addition, oversee all group business from outside the State of Colorado. Travel will be involved.

This is an exempt position with a salary of $90,000.00 with eligibility to earn a bonus paid quarterly. It is a full-time position eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits, 401k after one year, accrued vacation time and accrued sick time. In addition, we offer a free employee meal with each shift.
