Arcadia is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for our Residents, Guests, and Team Members. Day-to-Day Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician: (Include but are not limited to)
  • Complete work orders for repair and maintenance of our community and grounds in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
    • Routine maintenance duties may include fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects.
  • Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, working on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems and pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Performing carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
  • Performing deep cleaning and resident apartment ‘flips.’
  • Assisting with housekeeping functions as needed.
  • Communicating with the Facilities Director for needed technical advice, product information, research, and quality assurance guidance.
  • Advising the Facilities Director on the overall condition of the equipment and furnishings of the community.
  • Maintaining all tools and repair parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The right candidate should be a professional who can respond promptly to our Residents’ needs and interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner. This position requires the candidate to work independently.

Qualifications:
While we support continued learning and enrichment, and celebrate a culture that encourages learning new skills, there are base level requirements for this position that include but are not limited to:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Technical school education preferred.
  • One (1) year maintenance and/or housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Must have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment. Possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
  • General understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life & safety regulations is a plus. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
