Premium Seating Events Coordinator

In the role as Premium Seating Events Coordinator, you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus.
This dynamic, new position will play a key role in the Service, Sales and Operations sides of the Premium Seating department. The Premium Seating Events Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the managing and planning of all Premium Seating Client events. These events will occur throughout the year and will vary from on-site events within the United Center, team events in partnership with the Blackhawks and Bulls, to local/out-of-state and potentially international events.
A strategic way you will contribute to the department is assisting the Sales team with creating and executing new business events to help drive revenue. In addition, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of events for Premium Seating Members based on their member benefits package and any other Premium Department needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to)
- Specialize in organizing and planning Premium Sales & Service events including but not limited to: logistics, catering, player personnel, timing and staffing.
- Support Premium Sales & Service department by aiding in the execution of events throughout the course of the year for current clients as well as new business prospecting events.
- Create a ‘red-carpet’ level feel for all client events by using any/all resources available through vendor, team and arena relationships.
- Build trust and relationships with vendors, local restaurant groups, team contacts and other event planning companies by maintaining a high level of communication and proactivity.
- Fulfill event related activities, such as creating run-of-shows, researching venues, creating save-the-dates, event invites, or any other special requests at the direction of the Director of Premium Services or Director of Premium Sales.
- Act as a liaison between the Bulls, Blackhawks, and events teams to book any panel, meeting room, banquet spaces and Game Day Entertainment or logistics needs.
- Manage up feedback, key trends and solution-based changes for future events as it pertains to post-event surveys with the appropriate management personnel.
- Assist in any operational needs for single game rentals/UC Select members or other needs at the direction of the Senior Director of Premium Operations.
- Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mentality while executing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-3 years of previous event planning experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Professional, verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and adhere to deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to navigate the arena in order to organize event walk-throughs and set-ups.
- Strong work ethic and availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
