The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support strategic financial planning.


Essential Duties:

  • Perform general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
  • Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit/review.
  • Ensures that reported financial results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Presents recommendations to management on financial objectives and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis to operations leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements:

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Exhibit growth mindset and collaborative behaviors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with professionals internal and external to the company and across geographic locations.
  • Exhibit growth mindset and team-orientated behaviors.
  • Navigate competing priorities and effectively work in a fast-paced environment.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • CPA certification preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience leading an accounting team.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
