Dynamis is seeking a copy editor with at least four years of previous experience with the editorial process. The editor would be working onsite in Washington, DC for the Department of the Treasury's Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA).

TOP SECRET clearance required, with the ability to attain SCI.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit written products to improve quality and ensure products are editorially correct without altering technical accuracy or meaning.
  • Ensure products conform to OIA reporting policy guidance and style standards
  • Apply writing standards, critical thinking skills, and expertise in grammar, punctuation, spelling and copyediting to identify and resolve editorial issues and inconsistencies in complex text and graphics.
  • Revise corporate style guidance as necessary.
  • Develop and recommend editorial and publishing policies and practices along with standard operating procedures for editing and or publishing.
  • Experience performing copyedit reviews of intelligence products, including classification portion markings and endnotes.
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community agency/office style guides.
  • Interact with client, and contribute to the development or improvement of intelligence product production processes.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance, with the ability to attain SCI
  • At least 4 years' previous copyedit experience
  • Computer skills required: MS Office Suite skills
  • Ability to review written products and visual information; and recommend readability, tone, and style edits suitable for the intended audience and in keeping with IC analytic tradecraft standards
  • Familiar with and up-to-date on IC standards for finished intelligence products
  • Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company's goals
  • Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
  • Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times
  • Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications
  • Positive attitude focused on customer satisfaction
