Studco is looking for an entry level Product Development Assistant to join its team  This role will help in the new development of various product ranges that Studco has to offer. 

 

This role will work closely with our Global Product Manager and Global Innovation Team to create seamless communication with vendors in gathering quotes and performing research needed to further the development process.  This role will act as a key player in cross collaboration with other aspects of the business as well including programming and engineering.


Key Accountabilities

  • Keep track of projects as they are being brought up and ensure communication between vendors and other parts of the business are timely
  • Help generate, test and prototype innovative designs that align with the Studco/EZConcept brand and values
  • Conduct thorough research on vendor and sourcing options to understand user preferences and collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and refine ideas.
  • Create detailed 3D models and prototypes using CAD software and rapid prototyping tools.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs are feasible for production.
  • Develop comprehensive design documentation, including sketches, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Actively communicate and cross collaborate with other functions of the business to ensure ideas and values are aligned
  • Attend any necessary meetings (monthly innovation meetings etc.)


Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field
  • Experience with computer programs (drawing etc)
  • Organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Creative skillset and interest in the architectural industry preferred


Desirable Criteria

  • AutoCAD experience
  • Previous Computer Programming/Drawing experience
