Augmentjobs is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Infrastructure to lead our infrastructure team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy

    • Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

    • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to support business goals and drive innovation.

  • Infrastructure Management

    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.

    • Ensure the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure to support the company's operations and growth.

    • Manage infrastructure budgets, optimize costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.

  • Security and Compliance

    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the security and compliance of infrastructure systems.

    • Implement best practices for data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

    • Stay updated on the latest security threats and ensure the infrastructure is protected against vulnerabilities.

  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management

    • Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective service delivery.

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the infrastructure supports their requirements.

  • Project Management

    • Lead and manage infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

    • Implement project management best practices and ensure clear communication and coordination across teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

  • Experience

    • 8 to 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

    • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT operations and infrastructure projects.

  • Technical Skills

    • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

    • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.

    • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Leadership and Management Skills

    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills

    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams.
