ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Secure debt and equity financing for all tax credit projects.
  • Manage pipeline of upcoming transactions and assign workload to finance team to insure on time closings
  • Manage land loan closings
  • Monitor and deploy acquisition, predevelopment, and land loans as needed for developments
  • Stay updated on the market for equity and debt and keep development team updated of latest market terms.
  • Review financial structing of models before going to investment committee
  • Individually close the most complicated deals while managing the process and team on other deals
  • Updating handoff information post-closing to the asset management team and rest of the company
  • Manage the financial partners’ due diligence, underwriting and sponsor review process while working with General Counsel and Development Directors through assigned items for transaction closings.
  • Provide input and assist counsel in negotiation of all financing letters of intent as well as loan and partnership documents.
  • Manage the internal pro forma and final equity investor financial projections.
  • Participate and/or lead in interim and permanent refinancing options for any property in the portfolio.
  • Work with Development Directors to manage project timelines to hit necessary closing dates.
  • Work with project team members to complete transactions through closing.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departmental representatives to provide updates on financing or capital activities post-closing
  • Responsible for the training and development of the finance team members
  • Work with asset management team on all post-closing items, including refinances, conversions, and capital calls
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance)
  • Multifamily Tax Credit experience required
  • 10 Years of previous experience
