Job DescriptionJob DescriptionApplied Innovation is seeking a Software Sales Representative also known as an Automation Consultant to cover Southfield, Ann Arbor, and our Clio, MI teams.  Candidates must be highly motivated and professional individuals, with prior sales experience/education and an interest in technology sales.  This individual must also work well with others, have good communication skills, and pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Field incoming leads from account managers, websites, and marketing campaigns.
    • Incoming software leads – Qualify or disqualify the opportunity, gather preliminary details, inform the prospect of Applied Innovation Software offerings, and ensure a smooth handoff to the Software Sales Specialists.
    • Backfile leads – Understand a prospects desire to digitize old records, as well as their go-forward strategy to cultivate a paperless environment.  Ensure a smooth handoff to the appropriate parties.   
    • Prospecting: Via phone calls, emails, cold calls, social media, mailers, etc.
  • Achieve sales goals targets 
  • Execute outreach campaigns surrounding the various software offerings of Applied Innovation.
  • Diligently record, track, and communicate all sales activities in and their outcomes in to ensure that go-to-market strategies are effective, and adapt accordingly if changes in strategy are required.      
  • Assist in creating sales and marketing campaigns to bring to market.
  • Understand and identify prospect and customer needs and determine how they can be addressed with Applied Innovation software solutions.   
  • Continuously educate yourself on the latest updates in technology within Applied Innovation’s software solutions product stack. 
  • Provide customers and prospects with a great first experience with our software team and ensure 'Fast, Friendly and Amazing Service'.
  • Provide insights and resources to team members to help them identify more potential sales opportunities. 
  • Thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing, and growing business environment.   
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with other sales teams.
  • Attend reoccurring meetings with teams and managers to discuss deals, strategy, analyze results, and receive feedback on how to continuously improve sales efforts.    
  • Give concise, information-rich presentations to prospects & customers.  

Personal Qualities Required for this role include but are not limited to:
  • High capacity, self-managed person
  • Previous successful sales experience, required
    • 5+ years of sales experience, preferred
    • Technology, specifically software sales experience, preferred
  • Strong presentation, organization, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Good with utilizing technology and business systems for day-to-day work
  • Resilient / comfortable with rejection and willing to push through and make changes accordingly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Passion for learning about technology and how to use it to solve business problems
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated to learn and take feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Reliable and accountable
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
