RMC is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support our Navy customer in Norfolk, VA (possibility for hybrid work). This role will support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB), which manages the Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio and enables essential business operations for various capability groups.

The selected applicant will be a member of the Test and Evaluation Team and will be responsible for automating and executing verification, validation, and testing of application and systems software. Job duties would include, but are not limited to:

  • Use Selenium WebDriver(Java) to automate test cases provided by the IV&V team and stakeholders.
  • Integrate automated test cases into the DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Develop performance tests using automated performance testing tools.
  • Conduct test design activities to identify and create automated test cases, test procedures, and test scripts traceable to system requirements.
  • Conduct static and dynamic testing at all software testing levels to include integration, functional, system, and acceptance.
  • Perform manual testing to support immediate project needs and understand the workflows to create automated tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a relevant field is required.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must qualify as a DoD Cybersecurity Workforce member.
  • Must have experience developing tests for US Navy logistics applications.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years' experience as a test engineer, as well as be able to demonstrate the following:
    • Knowledge and experience in object-oriented programming.
    • Experience with developing and managing automated test suites.
    • Experience with automated test framework development.
    • Experience with Selenium WebDriver(Java) and Cucumber.
    • Experience with using build tools such as Maven.
    • Experience with code source management (Gitlab,SourceTree).
    • Experience with integrating automated tests into the DevSecOps pipeline.
    • Knowledge of agile software development life cycle models.
    • Skilled in utilizing software development management and issue-tracking tools (JIRA).
    • Skilled in utilizing test management tools to build test suites/sets, capture test data, and analyze results.
    • Ability to capture test data, analyze test results, and communicate (orally and written) findings and/or deficiencies.
    • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with software development or systems engineering team members to accomplish project team goals and objectives.
    • Ability to conduct software/system integration, installation, configuration, functional, performance, regression, and system recovery testing.
