Primary Position Objectives

Performs maintenance and modifications of programs to keep them responsive to production needs and to assure efficient operation

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Description of Duties

Programming

  • Proficient in specific machinery of responsibility (i.e. CNC, WEDM, etc.)
  • Proficient in computer aided machining processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment.
  • Ability to Set-up and operate Wire EDM Machines: Charmille and Mitsubishi

  • Required Computer skills: DP tech. Esprit- Microsoft Office Applications CAD-CAM: AutoCad / Solidworks
  • Ability to understand and verify/ Inspect using toolroom equipment & detailed prints with specific machine tolerances
  • Working knowledge of basic toolroom equipment including but not limited to the following: Grinders (Dry) / Drill press / EDM Hole Drilling / Sinking

Other

  • Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
  • May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
  • Performs other duties as may be required.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

  • High School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience programming and operating specific machines of responsibility.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints.
  • Requires a very high degree of precision and control.
  • Ability to make independent judgment decisions.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
  • Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
  • Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from

position-to-position.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
