Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lineworker Apprentice to join our team. As a Lineworker Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power lines and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pole line work, including climbing poles, installing poles, cross-arms, transformers, cutouts, lightning arresters, wire, and cable.
  • Work on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain records as required and perform other assigned tasks.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with acceptable grades majoring in electrical and line worker training or previous experience in line work.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Class A Driver's License prior to becoming a 3/C Lineworker.
  • Subject to the Company's random drug and alcohol testing policy.
  • Must practice Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Capable of performing all essential functions of the classification.
  • Must successfully complete ongoing annual skill assessments.
  • Available for job site reporting within CMP service territory.
