Job Description
Manager of Wire Transfer Operations

The Wire Transfer Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the wire room during business hours.

This role includes managing operational activities to support the processing of domestic and international wire transactions, conducting wire investigations, providing customer service, and ensuring compliance with OFAC regulations.

Position Competencies
Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a customer-centric approach. They will demonstrate collaboration, agility, integrity, a commitment to excellence, and active community involvement.

Position Responsibilities

- Oversee the payments and risks associated with processing, settling, and clearing over 250,000 transactions monthly, totaling more than $130 billion.

- Deliver high-quality and timely customer service to our Business, Retail, and Wealth Management clients.

- Monitor production demands using capacity models and key performance metrics; implement data-driven corrective actions to ensure consistent and quality execution.

- Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and enterprise risk requirements through effective operational procedures and continuous staff development.

- Regularly assess the effectiveness of operational controls and develop mitigation plans for identified risks.

- Provide governance and oversight for wire investigation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Manage networks for transmitting both international and domestic wires, serving as a subject matter expert on message types and facilitating financial messaging between our organization and other financial institutions.

- Lead foreign exchange activities, maintaining policies and procedures for consistent processing of non-USD transactions.

- Generate daily and monthly reports on key performance and risk metrics.

- Manage human resource aspects of the group, including selecting, motivating, developing, and retaining high-performing talent, as well as overseeing performance management and HR policy training.

- Contribute to the department's budget and business planning.

- Serve as the primary contact for all markets and clients.
