What You’ll Be Doing:
1) Manage screening and referral system
•Receive referrals from various sources and data entry into case management system.
•Screen clients for appropriateness of services and any potential barriers to accessing services.
•Maintain referral database and ensure data integrity.
•Maintain intern referral tracking sheet and enter all data into appropriate case management system.
•Act as a contact for DV Advocates for client-related logistical concerns.
2) Schedule and conduct intake appointments
•Use intake appointments to identify risk factors, resource requests, or other immediate needs.
•Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, when necessary.
•Offer advocacy support for time-limited requests during intake.
•Assign clients to SafeHouse Denver DV Advocates and provide them with a detailed transition of information for continuum of care.
3) Respond to callers who access the SafeHouse Denver crisis line via telephone.
• Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Provide information, education, and emotional support.
4) Participate in all required staff meetings and supervision
5) Demonstrate initiative and vision for service quality improvement and problem prevention and resolution.
•Work diligently to achieve individual, team, and agency goals and objectives.
•Network with other service providers and community agencies to assist clients and the agency.
6) Supports the primary database lead responsible for reporting and efforts to develop, maintain and enhance the case management system
• Serves as a back-up when primary reporting and database lead is unavailable.
• Assists with the development of key performance indicators and consistently monitors to improve short-and long-term outcomes for survivors.
7) Maintain accurate and timely record keeping.
•Responsible for appropriate charting and all necessary documentation.
•Complete required and time sensitive data collection and entry.
8) All other duties as assigned.
Do You Have What It Takes?
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field OR three (3) years relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior time management and organizational skills
- Attentive, responsive, and proactive; ability to pivot as necessary to meet the needs of survivors.
- Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude; advanced proficiency in utilizing MS Office
- Passion for the SafeHouse Denver mission
- Strong working knowledge of domestic violence and empowerment models; crisis intervention and advocacy skills
- Ability to function independently and as a team member
- 2 years of experience working in a counseling setting.
- Bilingual Spanish
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
- A solid understanding of how people and organizations change and the ability to be adaptable.
•Competitive Pay: $23-25 hourly, part-time position, non-exempt, with annual performance evaluations and an opportunity for merit-based increase
