Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare detailed estimates for projects.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare project bid status reports and manage bid compliance with specifications.
  • Assist in negotiating scope and pricing with subcontractors.
  • Conduct value analysis and recommend cost-efficient alternatives.
  • Monitor ongoing proposals and collaborate with internal teams to fulfill bid requirements.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing trade contractors.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating for a commercial general contractor.
  • Proficiency in RS Means, Gordian, or similar unit price books.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Adobe and BlueBeam is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.
