We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills to lead our IT Department as Director of IT. This position reports directly to our Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure for multi-site operations. Improving IT processes, identifying new opportunities, and overseeing large technical projects are essential duties of this position. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position with occasional additional hours on nights, weekends, or holidays as large IT projects need to take place during non-business hours. This position is based out of our Lewiston Office, with frequent travel required to other sites through Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin Counties.
Essential Duties:
- Overseeing all technical projects in alignment with organizational goals, including directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and process.
- Lead a team of IT professionals in meeting the agencies goals and mission, collaborate with all agency leadership in developing plans for improvements, and manage business activities in relation to all IT functions.
- Evaluate, refine, and redevelop the agencies IT strategy, infrastructure, security, and applications to effectively support the functioning of a wide variety of programs and structures.
- Effectively and efficiently improve workflows, communication systems, and preform work within designed budgets by undertaking necessary activities and meeting conditions of grants and contracts that are required by regulations, funding source, nonprofit law, and corporate policy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent
- Advanced technical or managerial credentials, including PMP, CISM, or related
- 10+ years’ experience of progressive hands-on IT work, including multi-office environments with internal networks, wireless networks, switches and firewalls, as well as familiarity with servers and virtualization, concepts of back up practices and data recovery, and device planning, purchasing, and deployment.
- Experience with help desk functions and operations management are a must.
- Previous supervisory experience is required.
Other Requirements: Pre-employment SBI, DMV, Maine and National Sex Offender Registry, DHHS, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
