Job DescriptionJob Description

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher to work as a member of the team to carry on the tradition of excellence in special education. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for IEP development and case management, data collection, differentiation, and intervention for academic and/or social-emotional needs, technology integration and ability to work with different professions, therapist, and age-groups. We are seeking a caring individual with a desire to help students achieve their goals to join our team.


The Special Education would be responsible for working with children who have a broad range of disabilities, including cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities, at a elementary school. Teaches disabled youth life skills and basic literacy and modifies the general education curriculum to meet the child's needs.


School located in Homewood, Illinois

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of second language learning patterns and best practices in English language development.
  • Plans and delivers lessons in English language development.
  • Collaborates with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure achievement of ELLs across content areas.
  • Administers formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and ensure student achievement.
  • Possesses the skills necessary for serving as a liaison between the school and the home.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with classroom teachers, administration, and families.





Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
  • Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
  • Bachelor's in Special Education; Master's degree a plus
  • Have or be eligible to apply for an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement
  • Must be able to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
