Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at Homewood SD 153. As a key member of our Student Support Services department, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language plans to meet the unique needs of our students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure seamless support for our students.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in student communication skills.
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech and language pathology.
Requirements
  • Current Illinois Professional Educators license with a Speech and Language Pathologist endorsement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
