Role Overview:

As the Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in our financial management team. You'll oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Lead the accounting department, maintaining a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Supervise sales/use tax reporting and government agency registrations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Maintain controls and create budgets to mitigate financial risk.
  • Reporting Excellence: Review and prepare month end journal entries and account reconciliations. Issue timely and complete financial statements. Perform variance analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple locations and businesses.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in monthly GL closing processes, use of manufacturing software, sales/use tax knowledge, financial planning and analysis, and financial consolidations.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and process analysis.
  • Independent Thinking: Use judgment to resolve complex issues and interpret matters effectively.
