Responsibilities:

  1. Backend Development:

    • Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Ruby.
    • Implement scalable and efficient solutions to support business requirements and enhance system performance.

  2. Database Management:

    • Design and optimize database schemas and queries for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
    • Work with relational (e.g., SQL) and/or non-relational (e.g., NoSQL) databases to store and manage application data.

  3. Integration and Testing:

    • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members to integrate backend systems with frontend interfaces and third-party services.
    • Write unit tests, conduct integration testing, and perform code reviews to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.

  4. Technical Leadership:

    • Take ownership of backend development projects, leading the implementation of complex features and functionalities.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, assisting them with architectural decisions and problem-solving.

  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on backend development trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of development workflows and practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in backend development are a plus.

  2. Experience:

    • 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development roles, with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, or Ruby, and experience with backend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Flask, Express.js, Spring Boot).

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of backend development principles, including RESTful API design, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and data modeling.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.

  4. Communication and Collaboration:

    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups).
