Systems Technology & Research, Inc. is currently seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to support the Utility Helicopters Project Manager's Office in the development and management of aircraft requirements, including new procurement, upgrade, modification, or life extension of their current fleet and life cycle support efforts. The successful candidate will lead the logistics effort and provide programmatic oversight of the entire Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case and life-cycle logistics support providing a Total Package Approach (TPA). This includes developing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies to inform, advise, and coordinate the work with both the team and international partner to further the project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support development of cradle to grave ILS support planning.
- Work with stakeholders to meet country specific requirements, obtaining parts from US Army supply and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) request rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing and develop estimates for spares packages based on configuration of aircraft, and inventory tracking.
- Provide support to ensure country requests for spares receive timely procurement and delivery.
- Ensure Total Package Approach (TPA) and development of fielding plans are executed for customer support after initial delivery of aircraft.
- Work with SAMD and UHPO to identify, coordinate and oversee training requirements.
- Provide strategic/long term advice and recommendations regarding interface with the customer country and the OEM, on acquisition strategies and reviews.
Qualifications/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree with ten (10) years' experience years technical equivalence in programmatic, logistics, or maintenance field of expertise.
- A strong Army Acquisition Logistics and/or Aviation Branch experience in key functional areas such as, Operator, Quality Control (QC), Production Control (PC), repair shops, and maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 Series Acquisition regulations tied to Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and processes.
- Logistics background with active deployment experience developing spares packages or fielding aircraft.
- FMS experience desired.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Skills, Competencies and Abilities:
- Microsoft office suite (i.e. word, excel, power point)
- Ability to multi-task; prioritize internal and external tasks/projections
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to comprehend engineering technical data
