Atlas Immersion Academy is looking for a patient and compassionate Summer Camp Counselor/ Floating Teacher. This role will help lead developmentally-appropriate activities that encourage students' healthy physical, social, and emotional development, while also expanding children’s multi-lingual language abilities.

Job duties of the Summer Camp Counselor/ Floating Teacher include:

  • Providing support to the childcare center's operations during the day, either in classrooms as a Floating Teacher, or Summer Camp Counselor by providing care to children 0-12 years old.
  • Driving safely in company vehicle to and from field trips
  • Maintaining a safe environment in the vehicle
  • Helping children buckle and unbuckle their carseats/boosters, as needed
  • Ensure children are appropriately restrained/buckled, according to their Transportation Authorization forms
  • Maintaining positive and caring rapport with children
  • Providing care in loving and attentive ways for all children
  • Support the center's operations

We are most interested in talking to applicants that bring with them:

  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (preferred)
  • Clean Driving Record (required)
  • Previous experience driving/transporting children
  • Previous experience driving large vehicles
  • Passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. (we do not sponsor visas)
  • Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry - $200 signing bonus available to applicants already enrolled in the CBR.
