The Cascade Pacific Council is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of over 250 camp personnel at our various resident camps, dedicated to providing safe and exciting experiences for Scouts. Available roles encompass program leaders, administrative staff, sales associates, culinary team members, and maintenance crew. Whether you are a newcomer to scouting or have extensive experience, we welcome all applicants who share a passion for fun and learning in the great outdoors. Each team member plays a vital role in shaping a scout's journey, making summer camp an ideal setting for impactful experiences.

At our camps, we fulfill this mission by recruiting motivated and passionate individuals from the community who aspire to influence the lives of youth through skill instruction, leadership growth, and enjoyment.
Hiring Information
Qualifications
- Preferred availability for the entire season
- Prior outdoor camping experience is necessary
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with youth
- Enjoyment of outdoor tasks
Key Responsibilities: General Camp Staff
- Foster a fun, inviting, and secure atmosphere for campers and guests
- Serve as a positive role model for campers
- Collaborate with fellow staff in various activities and programs
- Assist campers in their activities as needed
- Engage in pre-camp training sessions
- Uphold the principles of the Scout Oath and Law
- Comply with BSA Youth Protection, Guide to Safe Scouting, and BSA Safety protocols
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 16 at the start of camp (15+ may volunteer as Staff-in-Training)
- Registration as a member of the Boy Scouts of America upon hiring
- Background checks are mandatory for applicants over 18
- Specialized training for specific positions is available
- Submission of a completed application is required
- Provision of two non-relative references
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred
- Some roles may require National Camp School certifications
We encourage applications from individuals without prior Scouting experience
Camp Information
- Cub Scout Resident Camps cater to children aged 6-10, engaging them in resident camp activities with their local Scouting group. These camps operate for three days each session and include:
- Camp Baldwin (for 9-10-year-olds)
- Butte Creek Scout Ranch (operates 3-night/4-day sessions)
- Scouts BSA Resident Camps serve Scouts BSA participants who join resident camps with their local group. These week-long programs feature:
