Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Level 1

FLSA Status: non-exempt

Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)

Schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW

Safely perform specific retread tasks with emphasis toward producing high quality product per Commercial Tire specifications and time standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A team player committed to continuous improvement, high quality and safety.
  • Adheres to and supports safe work practices and Commercial Tire’s safety guidelines and standards.
  • Assists in the manufacturing of retreading tires.
  • Maintains high quality workmanship.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of production problems as they occur.
  • Performs minor maintenance and repair of specifically assigned equipment & keeps work area in safe, clean and workable manner.
  • Safely operate at least 3 assigned machines, tools and equipment in the shop, which may include but not limited to: Skive / Extruder / Chambers / Final / Builder / Buffer / Initial
    1. Manager determines areas trained in.
  • To be trained – in areas, must be able to meet performance and time standards per bandag.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS – Unless indicated otherwise, these are preferred

  • 0-4 Years’ experience
  • Must pass the CRTAP following 30 days of employment.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Able to read technical & operational manuals
  • Regular attendance and punctuality is required and is an essential job function.
