Summary:

  • This engineering role is an extended temporary position that will last for a period of months perhaps as little as four months and as many as 12 months.

  • At the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Engineer provides technical support for all aspects of the company's MRO (helicopter repair) process.

  • Creating the technical foundation needed for MRO to succeed, acting as a liaison to meet the technical needs of production, developing solutions to material and process issues, and developing production controls.

  • In this role, the Engineer will work with the FAA and the company's Designated Engineering Representative (DER) on an ongoing project.

  • The successful candidate will have experience with MRO and reverse engineering of parts.

  • This contingent position will be paid by the hour. Hourly rate is dependant on experience, background and knowledge.

  • There are no additional benefits or compensation.

  • The job is on-site, and the expectation is 30 to 40 hours per week.

  • Conduct analysis and reverse engineering of customer parts

  • Design and develop repair schemes and repair processes for FAA-DER approval

  • Development and implementation of CAD data to support repair development

  • Compile certification, engineering and compliance documents

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program

  • At least 5 years of relevant aerospace MRO experience

  • Ability to read, create and interpret technical drawings

  • Working Knowledge of Composite and Metal bond processes

  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 programs

  • Proficient in use CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks

  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and have the drive to get things done on schedule

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented

  • Good communication skills written and verbal

  • High level of reliability and dependability

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc )
