Pherson is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared, full-time Instructional Systems Designer / Facilitator to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This role involves developing, delivering, and maintaining curriculum for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)'s Leadership Development Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ISD, leadership training, and professional development, with extensive experience in both facilitating and creating training programs.

 

Position RequirementsMust have TS/SCI with active or eligible for CI polygraph.  This position also requires the ability to work on-site, 5 days per week, in St. Louis, MO.  Some travel is expected on weekends and holidays as needed to meet class schedules, and may be required to support mission tasks, including both CONUS and OCONUS travel.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop, define, deliver, and maintain relevant curriculum for the NGA’s Leadership Development Program.
  • Training Implementation: Support the implementation of leadership and professional development training.
  • ISD Leadership: Serve as a senior Instructional Systems Designer for curriculum development, course facilitation, and curriculum maintenance activities.
  • Instruction & Facilitation: Instruct and facilitate supervisory, leadership, and professional development training for NGA leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Online Training: Conduct online web-based supervisory courses and training sessions through Blackboard.
  • Program Improvement: Continuously improve the program by conducting lessons learned with adjunct instructors and updating training materials monthly.
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic and operational leadership development expertise to ensure effective planning, design, development, implementation, review, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the program.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other leadership facilitators/ISD SMEs and NGA leadership to plan professional development activities, prepare related materials, and support facilitation efforts. This includes conducting, supporting, or leading necessary research and disseminating findings.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with key stakeholders to create high-quality, academically rigorous, and engaging online and instructor-led courses across multiple disciplines. Utilize good judgment in selecting methods, technologies, and standards of practice for designing meaningful learning experiences (e.g., lectures, interactions/activities, assessments).
  • Quality Reviews: Perform quarterly quality standard reviews of course offerings. Use student feedback and learning management system data to provide leadership with comprehensive program enhancement recommendations as part of continuous process improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of managing the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of leadership and professional development training for adult learners.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated leadership experience in industry, academia, government, or military, including effectively supervising people and leading programs.
  • At least 10 years of experience facilitating and delivering leadership and organizational management courses, workshops, offsites, etc.
  • Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
