The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems within the facility. This includes but is not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. The technician ensures that the facility is in good working order and complies with all safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  1. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning.
  2. Shop Helper: Assist our shop technicians with jobs
  3. Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility-related equipment.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
  5. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of facility equipment.
  6. Building Upkeep: Perform general building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and minor repairs.
  7. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order necessary materials to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  10. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facility maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a facility maintenance technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

  • The position requires working in various environments, including office buildings, warehouses, and outdoor areas.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8-5PM
