A busy Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Fabrication & Installation company in the Baltimore, Maryland area is looking for an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal installation foreman.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform work supervising and scheduling the installation, maintenance and repair of sheet metal, air handling equipment and HVAC equipment in a commercial environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Comprehensive knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in installing, repairing and maintaining sheet metal, air handling equipment and HVAC equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work; ability to order materials for maintenance and repair jobs
- Ability to plan, lay out, supervise and inspect the work of mechanics & helpers
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
- Must be computer literate and able to operate an IPad and smart phone for various tasks
- Must have a Journeyman or Master's DLLR License
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the sheet metal trade/industry
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/foreman position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Significant driving, standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
TASKS

- Plan, assign, inspect and supervise construction activities; maintain records and
- Coordinate all field personal job
- Assign and distribute new job projects to field Installers
- Attend and participate in meetings regarding work to be done; attend training
- Check and troubleshoot new and existing work
- Order and deliver duct & supplies for jobs in order to keep mechanics on the job as busy as possible
- Inspect contracted work and field personnel regularly
- Coordinate work with other trades and Inform project managers of completed and outstanding work
- Determine time and material estimates for HVAC/sheet metal jobs.
- Provide technical assistance to foreman & mechanics when required
- Perform related work as required.
