GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Foundation Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing, Communications, & Foundation. This individual is responsible for covering operations for the Broadlawns Medical Center Gift Shop, including volunteer engagement, inventory management and reporting. This individual provides operational support for the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation, including the apparel website, donor database, event planning and donor engagement.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide oversight for daily gift shop operations, popup vendor events and apparel website management, including inventory and reporting of foundation's retail initiatives.

  1. Reconcile daily receipts, cash register reports and cash deposits.
  2. Responsible for inventory selection, pricing and display of gift shop merchandise.
  3. Ensure profitability and adhere to gift shop budget.
  4. Report monthly and annual sales for gift shop, vendor events and apparel website.
  5. Recruit volunteers to provide support for the ongoing operations of the hospital, gift shop and related programs.
  6. Oversee volunteer training, scheduling and engagement.
  7. Assist with the development and execution of fundraising, stewardship and cultivation events and activities.
  8. Assist with donor database management and donor correspondence with Foundation and Marketing team to coordinate special events that advance philanthropic goals.
  9. Assist with development and execution of direct mail, newsletters, emails and other forms of donor-centric communication.
  10. Provide overall fundraising support to cultivate awareness, engagement and financial support for the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation
  11. Support and embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree.  
  2. 5 years of Fundraising and non-profit engagement experience.
  3. Detail oriented and highly organized.
  4. Proficiency with donor database management.
  5. Ability to represent the organization during evening and weekend hours if/as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Event planning and volunteer experience.
  2. Healthcare experience a plus.
