Landmark Hospitals is seeking an a to join our growing Finance and Accounting Team. The AP Specialist will join a supportive team of experienced and dedicated finance professionals. The accounting team supports our hospitals by ensuring accurate accounting transactions to provide operational analysis and insights to drive the business forward and more efficiently. Our ideal candidate has experience with Accounts Payable, and understands the importance of accuracy and timely processing in AP. Healthcare accounting experience is a plus, but we can train you in the industry aspects as needed.
Accounts Payable Specialist (AP Specialist) Summary: Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of facility invoices, patient refunds and vendor credits. Provides accurate expense and accrual reports to hospital leadership and accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes invoices after validation (compares to requisitions, service agreements, shipiping, etc); resolves issue
- Assigns GL account codes and corrects entries as needed
- Processes payments
- Reviews aged invoices and resolves issues
- Maintains vendor files and responds to vendor inquiries
- Works detailed AP report
- Manages accruals and monthly payments
Educational, Experience and Skill Requirements for AP Specialist:
- 1 or more years of accounts payable or other relevant accounting experience, preferably 2-3 years within a hospital, medical office or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of accounts payable function and general accounting processes
- Accuracy in data entry, billing systems, spreadsheets and financial systems
- Ability to work independently in environment with repetitative tasks
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Team player and collaboration skills
