The Director of IT is responsible for managing the strategic and operational aspects of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes planning, directing, and coordinating all IT activities to ensure seamless daily operations. The Director will collaborate with various departments to identify, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions that align with business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy: Develop and direct enterprise-wide IT strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee new and upgraded information systems, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines, and budgets. Manage the full system lifecycle.
  • Efficiency & Cost-Effectiveness: Evaluate and implement IT procedures and equipment for maximum efficiency.
  • User Support: Ensure professional, courteous, and timely IT support.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and develop the IT staff for optimal performance.
  • Industry Trends & Compliance: Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain the IT-related Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • User Training: Conduct user training programs as needed.
  • Cybersecurity: Enhance and enforce cybersecurity protocols.
  • Vendor Management: Select and manage external IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead initiatives to enhance business processes and drive innovation.
  • Communication: Report IT strategies, performance, and key metrics to executive leadership.
  • Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate IT-related risks and ensure compliance.
  • IT Governance: Develop and implement best practices in IT governance and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Extensive IT management experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Windows XP, Fabtrol, Spectrum, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, Trix for Document Imaging, Nortel OTM, and Call Pilot administration.
