This Opportunity

Doota Industrial America is seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at our client location, Samsung Austin Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility. We are seeking a skilled System IT Engineer to work within our complex manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with both databases and networking switches, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Must have SQL query experience.

• Experience in data analysis, especially identifying patterns.

• Experienced in owning, maintaining, and managing servers within a complex enterprise environment.

• Have a computer science degree or equivalent experience.

• Knowledgeable about databases.

• Understands the importance of data integrity and trusted data.

• Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of TCP/IP protocols, including networking addresses, serial connections, ethernet connections, VLANs, and MAC addresses.

• Familiarity with connected nodes, including servers, and essential vendor manufacturing tools.

• Efficiently troubleshoot unexpected PC server and networking switch issues.

• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including networking administrators, IT administrators, strategy teams, server administrators, and technical line of business owners, to resolve issues promptly, both during production and non-production hours.

• Receive and process technical maintenance requests in JIRA from various technical business requesters.

• Understand the scope of requests and associated issues, proactively seek clarification when needed, and schedule IT releases accordingly.

• Develop and implement effective processes to complete requests and validate their successful execution post-production. Address and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Work with a variety of on-premises custom-proprietary PC applications to facilitate communication, research technical information, and schedule releases on different systems.

• Perform physical maintenance tasks within the manufacturing facility.

• Provide detailed written updates and documentation of activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or a similar role, software development, and/or network management.

• Must have SQL query experience.

• Experience with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools is preferred.

• Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to work during non-production hours as needed.

• Work on-site at a vendor location in Austin.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Korean language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Previous semiconductor experience is a plus but not required.
